These are gaiters which I wear on the lower leg. One reason why you wear them is because of the snakes, so they can't bite you.

Outdoor ed Trip
On monday morning we head off to Tullah for an outdoor ed camp. Tullah is pretty much in the middle at the west coast. From there we went to the mount Murchison track. We walked up mount Murchison. At the start it was a walk through the rain forest and it started pretty steep. Actually I thought this was the hardest part of the walk. after we came out of the forest you already had a nice view over the scenery of the mountains. The view got even better with each step. On the way up we actually saw a snake. It was a bit scary!!! On the top you had a awesome view over Tullah, Rosebery and all the mountains of Tassie. It was amazing. It made it even better because of the nice weather. The weather was incredible. It was my first time on the west coast without any rain! After the walk we went to the lake Rosebery, where we camped. We went for a swim because we all were very sweaty and we set up our tents. After that we cooked our tea and made a camp fire. The sunset was very nice over the lake. Around the camp fire we played some thinking games. Games like where you had to do something special that you got it. Was quiet funny because it took people sometimes ages to get it. You actually could see all the stars really good. I actually found for my first time the southern cross and I learned how to find south with the cross and two other stars. The next morning we had for a camp a sleep in. we got up and made us breakfast. after that we got ready for kayaking. We learned some new skills like how to turn properly and how to capsizing. We went for a paddle and explore the lake. We also played some games on the lake in the kayaks and had heaps of fun. After the Kayaking we ate lunch and then it already was time to pack up and going home. It was a awesome camp with awesome people!
